The Association aims to establish chapters in all the states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory as well as Student Chapters in all institutions of higher learning.

The present membership strength of the Association stands at 2000. It also has over twenty corporate members made up of Government Agencies and Research Institutions.

Membership is open to individuals and organizations who have interest in statistics in the public and private sectors. There are three classes of membership, viz, Fellows, Members and Student Members.
