| The major activities of the Association Centre on organizing the Planning, Research and Statistics (PRS) workshops as well as Annual Conference which are held on rotational basis round the States of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory. |

| In 2001, the Association launched the Chartered Institute of Statisticians of Nigeria (CISON) during its Silver Jubilee Conference held in Abuja. The Chartered Institute like the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) is set up to regulate the practice of Statistics as a profession in the country. Presently, the University of Nigeria, Nsukka accommodates the temporary secretariat of the Institute. |
