Mr. Okafor Christopher Maduabuchi was born on the 23rd day of October 1953, at Imezi-Owa in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria.
He is a graduate of University of Ibadan where he graduated in 1980 with a B.Sc(Hons) in Statistics. He also has a certificate in Survey Research Techniques from the Institute of Survey and Research, University of Michigan, Ann Abor, U.S.A in 2005. He also has a Post-Graduate Diploma in modeling and accounting for sustainable development from ISS, The Hague, the Netherlands, in 2003.
Mr. Okafor is currently a Deputy Director at the Research and Statistical Department, Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN), Abuja, Nigeria. He was Assistant Director and Head, Economic modeling office, Policy Intelligence Unit(PIU) August 2002 – Nov 2002, Ag. Deputy Director and head, Policy Intellingence Unit (PIU), Jan 2002 – July 2002.
Assistant Director and Head, Macroeconomic Analysis office, Policy Intelligence Unit Sept 2001 – Jan 2002.
He is happily married with 6 children and spends his free time playing Lawn Tennis, Chess and Music
